Rams Finish 32nd at New England Championship

BOSTON, MASS. - Rhode Island finished 32nd of 43 schools at the 2011 New England Championship, held at Franklin Park in Boston on Saturday.

Nathan Wigton led the Rams with a 117th place finish, crossing the line in 26:45. Zachary Seites-Rundlett, the Sept. 26 A-10 Rookie of the Week, was the second Rhody runner, finishing 149th overall in a time of 27:07.

Timothy Calcagni finished 165th (27:21), with Corey Coogan close behind, timing in at 27:27 for a 176th place finish. Michael Pezzullo finished 212th (28:04) and Zachary Burkett rounded out the Rams, earning a 246th place finish in 28:57.

Rhode Island returns to action on Oct. 14 at the Rothenberg-Brown Invitational in Warwick, R.I.
