Rhode Island's losing streak in Atlantic 10 play was extended to six games with a 72-66 overtime loss at home to St. Bonaventure. The loss drops the Rams to 3-18 overall and 0-6 in league play.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE AND BEYOND
* Jonathan Holton registered his second straight – and fifth overall – double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
* It is also Holton's fourth consecutive game with 11 or more rebounds. Over the last four games, the Miami native has corralled 58 rebounds – an average of 14.5 boards per outing.
* Billy Baron and Andre Malone added 12 points apiece to round out the Rams in double-figures.
* After registering the best first half shooting percentage of the year – 53.6% (15-28) – the Rams struggled over the next 25 minutes of play, connecting on just 8-of-31 down the stretch.
* Bonaventure began the second half on a 13-2 run. Rhody's first field goal of the second half came at the 13:29 mark, on a Mike Powell layup.
* Orion Outerbridge grabbed nine rebounds and blocked two shots. He is just five swats away from cracking Rhody's top 10 career list.
* The Bonnies outshot URI from the free throw line, 32-20. There were 45 combined fouls called in the 45 minutes of play.
* Head coach Jim Baron rolled out his eighth different starting lineup of the season, with Outerbridge, Baron, Powell, Nikola Malesevic, and Dominique McKoy.
* The loss was the ninth straight at the Thomas M. Ryan Center, dating back to Nov. 26.
