HOW IT HAPPENED
 Rhode Island (9-15, 5-6 A-10) saw its three-match win streak come to an end as Butler swept the Rams 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-15) Saturday.
 In its first visit ever to Kingston, Butler (14-11, 4-7 A-10) controlled play throughout the match. The Bulldogs converted 63 percent of their sideout opportunities (31-of-49) and never trailed in either of the final two sets. 
 TOP PERFORMANCES
- Catie Steffen led Rhode Island with nine kills and added six digs.
 
- Kelly Rosenberg had 12 assists and seven digs.
 
- Lizzy Scanlon match high 10 digs.
 
STAT OF THE DAY
No players on either team reached double figures in kills. 
 SENIOR NIGHT
 Before the match started, the Rams honored four seniors playing their final game at Keaney Gymnasium. Annie Nelson, Ashley Tennant, Lauren Wong and Rachel Zarazan were recognized for their four seasons of contributions to Rhode Island volleyball.
