Rhode Island Struggles at Saint Joseph's

Box Score

What It Means:
Rhody had its second-lowest scoring performance and third-lowest shooting performance of the season (29.0%; 18-52) in an 81-44 loss at Saint Joseph's.

The Rams finish the 2012-13 season with a 3-9 record in true road games; including a 2-8 mark in Atlantic 10 play.

Inside the Box Score and Beyond:
* Despite suffering through poor shooting nights, two Rams managed to reach double-figures in the scoring column.  Nikola Malesevic (4-13 FG; 0-4 3FG) and Andre Malone (4-11; 0-5 3FG) each had 10 points.

* Xavier Munford - the A-10's second leading scorer - scored a season-low three points.  His lone field goal was also the Rams' only 3-pointer of the game.  Munford banked in the trey with 11:58 left in regulation.

* Mike Aaman added eight points and a team-high nine rebounds.  It was the freshman post player's second-highest rebounding total in a game this season.

* Freshman guard Eric Youncofski scored his first collegiate point tonight, subbing in at the free throw line for an injured T.J. Buchanan late in the ball game.

* Buchanan tallied six points and four rebounds off the bench before cramping up near the end of regulation.

* The Saint Joseph's bench held a 42-13 edge in scoring on the evening.

* Rhode Island was just 1-of-20 from beyond the arc - the second-lowest long-distance shooting effort of the year.  The Rams were 1-for-21 from the perimeter at Virginia Tech.
