KINGSTON, R.I. - The Rhody Women's Track & Field team started the New Year off in an overpowering fashion by taking home first place in this year's Sorlien Memorial Invitational. Rhode Island crushed the competition notching a total team score of 253. Rhody was followed by Boston College (107), Providence (79), Bryant (49) and UMass Dartmouth (25)
The Rams had 10 individual winners and multiple Personal Best, ECAC and New England Championship qualifying marks reached. A total of 12 Personal or Season best marks were set and 12 ECAC or New England qualifying marks were recorded.

- 200 Meters: Mariah Claudio
- 500 Meters: Mariah Claudio
- 400 Meter: Dyshelle Pemberton
- 60 Meters: Brianna Robitaille
- Long Jump: Janel Conley
- Pole Vault: Karleigh Manfredi
- Weight Throw: Aysha Moreino
- Shot Put: Katja Neves
- Triple Jump: Rebecca O'Donnell
- 4x400 Relay: Jennifer Czerapowicz, Keiko Hector, Micaela McPadden, Mikaila Amerantes.
Other Top Performances:
- Nichole Barger finished third in the 1000 Meter Run with a New England qualifying mark of 3:01.15. This also marks a personal best for Barger.
- Karlee Fowler notched second place and a New England qualifying mark in the pole vault with a height of 3.45m.
- Karen Lobaton (8.98s, 3rd) and Ashleigh Marks (9.10s, 4th) both collected New England qualifying times in their performances in the 60m Hurdles.
- Claudio's mark in the 500 meters is now the fourth best mark all-time in program history.
- Fowler's mark in the Pole Vault ties her for sixth all-time.

Rhode Island returns to competition next Friday when it heads to Staten Island, NY to compete in the NYC Gotham Cup. Events are to begin at 1 p.m. from the Ocean Breeze Track.
