KINGSTON, R.I. - The Rhode Island women's track & field team sent a small contingent of student-athletes to the Princeton Elite Invitational at Weaver Stadium on Saturday. 

Rhode Island used the event in an effort to record qualifying marks for the NCAA East Regional, which will take place the weekend of May 28 on the campus of the University of North Florida. 

Highlights

• Megan Wood came in second in the discus throw at 169' 3". Mae Gall was sixth (128'). 
• Sydney Federico crossed the line third in the 400m with a time of 55.91 seconds. She was the second-fastest collegian. 
• Lily Saul placed sixth in the 800m (third collegian), crossing the line in 2:05.55. 
• Madison Boucher recorded a mark of 156' 5" in the hammer throw to finish sixth.
