Rhode Island Women's Track and Field won its sixth New England Outdoor Championship on Saturday afternoon at Stonehill College in Easton, Mass. The 2026 crown is the Rams first Outdoor New England title since 2023.
The Rams used four, first-place finishes across Friday and Saturday's events and races to distance themselves from the field. Rhode Island's 186.5 points was 77.5 points more than the next closest team (Southern Connecticut State, 109).
Friday Field Events Highlights
- Alyssa Yankee won the hammer with a distance of 177'. She earned 10 team points.
- Rhode Island had four of the top eight finishers in the pole vault earning the team 22.5 points combined.
- The top Ram in the pole vault was Charlotte Moscovici who cleared 11' 3.75" and placed second.
- Sarah Shipton and Olivia Priest were tied for third place in the pole vault (11' 3.75"), with Allison Vigue behind them in fifth place (10' 10").
- Madison Boucher was third in the hammer (171' 6") and earned six team points.
- Norah Kobaly earned six team points with a third place finish in the javelin (123' 11").
- Brooke Rubush placed seventh in the javelin (106' 7") & hammer (151' 7") earning the team two points in each event.
Friday Track Events Highlights
- Rhode Island had three of the top eight finishers in the 5000m. Leading the Rams was Sofia Piccone (17:15.79) whose second-place finish earned the team eight points.
- Jordan Hadfield was right behind Piccone in third place with a time of 17:22.97 and gaining six team points.
- Alison Pankowicz rounded out the Rams contingent in the top-8 of the 5000m with a sixth-place finish (18:05.54).
- Gwen McCloughan ran the 10000m in 39:19.12 finishing in seventh place while earning two team points.
Saturday Field Events Highlights
- Macy Daigle won the high jump after clearing 5' 5.75" and earned 10 team points.
- Lily MacDonald's 18' 7" mark in the long jump was fourth-best in the meet and earned the Rams five team points.
- Kiley Mironenko posted a 36' 5.5" mark in the triple jump and placed fourth while taking on five team points for the Rams.
- Alyssa Yankee followed up her hammer throw win on Friday with a second place finish in the discus (146' 10") and fourth-place finish in the shot put (43' 3.75").
- Yankee totaled 23 team points.
- Elizabeth Dankwa earned team points with a seventh-place finish in the shot put (39' 7.25") and sixth-place finish in the discus (132' 4").
Saturday Track Events Highlights
- The 4x100m relay team of Zarah Singleton, Reagan Garibaldi, Odette van Wyk, and Joyce London placed finished first (46.231).
- Garibaldi won the 400m final with a time of 55.49 and was fifth in the 200m dash (24.94)
- Zoe Catrambone won the 800m with a time of 2:10.60.
- Rhode Island had two more scoring times in the 400m. Keira Cleary placed fifth (57.91) and Laurel Filiberto (58.63) placed seventh.
- In total, Rhode Island earned 16 points in the 400m.
- Madeline Till (2:11.31) was in third and Sydney Haik (2:14.61) was in eighth in the 600m helping lead to 17 Rhode Island points across the event.
- Singleton added a third place finish in the 100m hurdles. She and Kayla Clark's (14.21) sixth place finish led to nine Rhode Island points in the event.
- London added a third-place finish in the 400m hurdles (1:03.12).
- Hailey LaRosa was fourth in the 3000m steeplechase after completing the race in 11:27.01. She earned five team points.
- Kelsey Wolff earned four team points after placing fifth in the 1500m (4:37.89).
- Nyah Santana was sixth in the 200m (25.15) and earned three team points.
- Rhode Island's 4x400 team of Till, Wolff, Haik, and Olivia Skapczynski earned six team points with its third-place finish.
