Rhode Island Women's Track & Field took home the team title at the Jim Kavanagh Legacy Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. The Rams joined Stonehill, Providence, Maine, and host Holy Cross at the meet. Rhode Island's seven first-place finisher helped set the Rams up for a victorious afternoon.
Highlights
- Zoe Catrambone earned 10 team points with her 2:08.90, first place finish in the 800m.
- Joyce London (1:02.77) also earned 10 team points for her first place finish in the 400m hurdles.
- Reagan Garibaldi was the top finisher in the 200m (24.57), earning Rhode Island 10 points.
- Rhode Island's 4x400 team (Keira Cleary, Nyah Santana, Abigail Colella, Reagan Garibaldi) was the top team in the event (3:45.09).
- Alyssa Yankee (172' 9") was the top finisher in the hammer. Yankee added a third-place finish in the shot put (39' 9.75").
- Macy Daigle won the high jump after clearing 5' 8".
- Lily MacDonald won the triple jump (38' 7.75") and was the second-place finisher in the long jump (17' 5.25").
- Yankee also placed second in the discus (139' 11"). Right behind her in third was Mae Gall (135' 9").
- Madison Boucher placed second in the hammer (157' 8").Â
- Rhode Island had the second and third place finishers in the 400m. Colella (1:02.83) was in second and Cleary (1:03.94) was in third.
- Madeline Till came in second place in the 800m (2:10.39).
- Rhode Island 4x100 team of Singleton, Colella, Garibaldi, and Odette van Wyk notched eight team points with their second-place finish (46.86).
- Singleton (14.25) was in second place in the 100m hurdles and third place in the 100m (12.30).
- Kayla Clark (14.66) was right behind Singleton in third in the 100m hurdles.Â
- Charlotte Moscovici (11' 6.25"), Sarah Shipton (11' 0.25"), and Allison Vigue (11' 0.25") were the 2-3-4 finishered in the pole vault.Â
- Brooke Rubush finished in third place in the javelin (107' 5").
- van Wyk was in fourth in the 100m (12.33) and earned four team points.
- Hailey LaRosa earned six team points for her third place finish in the 2000m steeplechase (7:12.87).
- Santana was the fourth-place finisher in the 200m (25.14).
- Gwen McCloughan was fourth in the 5000m (18:10.94).
- The Rams had the 5-6-7-8 finishers in the 1500m. Fifth place Kelsey Wolff (4:39.99) and sixth place Jordan Hadfield (4:43.98) each recorded team points. Alison Pankowicz (4:44.29) and Sofia Piccone (4:44.86) were in seventh and eighth place, respectively.
