McGrainer Is Rams Top Finisher at CCSU Mini Meet

How it Happened
Rhode Island placed 13th out of 16 teams at the CCSU Mini Meet at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Conn. Friday afternoon. The team's average was 16:20.1 on the 5k course.

Boston University won the meet with 40 points, followed by host Central Connecticut State with 66 points. Yale (106), Providence College (123) and Stony Brook (139) rounded out the top five. Rhode Island had 331 points. 

The Finish Line

  • Senior Alexander McGrainer led the Rams, finishing 38th overall out of 117 racers in a time of
  • 15:47.5.
  • Freshman Joseph Maguire claimed 59th place (16:05.3), finishing second for Rhode
  • Island.
  • Senior Jacob Magiera was next for the Rams, clocking in at 16:21.2 and taking 71 st
  • overall.
  • Freshmen Noah Schrank (16:39.3) and Jake Cardello (16:46.8) rounded out the finishers
  • for Rhode Island, coming in at 80th and 83rd, respectively.
