Rhode Island placed 24th among the field of 34 teams at Saturday morning's New England Championship. Collectively, Rhody's average time for the 8k run was 26:51.
The Finish Line
- Sophomore Nicholas Celico was URI's top finisher, nearly cracking the top-100 with his time of 26:34.3. His average pace was a 5:20 mile, placing him 102nd overall.
- Sophomore Timothy Slack crossed the line seven seconds later (26:41.4), claiming 114th place.
- Senior Adam Thies was next for the Rams, clocking in at 26:49.9 and taking 128th overall.
- Freshman Connor Gralton placed 149th in a time of 27:03.9
- Freshman Noah Schrank finished just beind Gralton in 27:07.0 and claiming 154th.
- Senior Alexander McGrainer (27:18.4) placed 161st while junior Alec Font (27:32.8) took 172nd.
