Rams Finish 24th at New England Championship

How it Happened
Rhode Island placed 24th among the field of 34 teams at Saturday morning's New England Championship. Collectively, Rhody's average time for the 8k run was 26:51.

The Finish Line

  • Sophomore Nicholas Celico was URI's top finisher, nearly cracking the top-100 with his time of 26:34.3. His average pace was a 5:20 mile, placing him 102nd overall.
  • Sophomore Timothy Slack crossed the line seven seconds later (26:41.4), claiming 114th place.
  • Senior Adam Thies was next for the Rams, clocking in at 26:49.9 and taking 128th overall.
  • Freshman Connor Gralton placed 149th in a time of 27:03.9
  • Freshman Noah Schrank finished just beind Gralton in 27:07.0 and claiming 154th.
  • Senior Alexander McGrainer (27:18.4) placed 161st while junior Alec Font (27:32.8) took 172nd.
