How It Happened
Rhode Island dropped a 6-1 match at home to Providence. It was the final home match of the season for the Rams. Anna Peacock and Elizaveta Sadovnikova were honored in a pre-match ceremony, as both student-athletes played their final matches at the Hassenfeld Tennis Center.
The Rams dropped the doubles point but not before a stirring rally at #1 doubles with Peacock and Taylor Holden. Down 4-2, the URI duo tallied four straight points and forced a tiebreaker, winning 7-4. Holden would later earn a point for Rhody in a straight set victory at #2 singles.
