How it Happened
The Rhode Island Men's cross country team competed this afternoon at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown held at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. The team finished 13th against a group of strong competitors including nationally-ranked Arkansas (#6), which had the overall top finisher.
The Finish Line
- Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week Connor Gralton finished the 5k course in 26:25 which led the team and was good for 72nd overall.
- Junior Alec Font completed the course in 26:31, placing 75th overall.
- Rounding out the scorers for Rhode Island were Nicholas Celico (88th, 26:46), Adam Thies (90th, 26:46) and Alexander McGrainer (96th, 26:59).
- Freshmen Noah Schrank and Joseph Maguire finished the race in 27:28 and 27:30, respectively.
