How it Happened
The Rams got on the board in the bottom of the first inning, thanks to a three-run shot by Mike Corin. The home run - his 14th of the season - set a new single-season record for the Rams.

Matt O'Neil followed with a homer of his own to make it 4-0 URI in the bottom of the third and Laurence Hill scored on a sixth-inning single by Kevin Heiss to put the Rams on top 5-0.

UMass replaced starter Ryan Moloney with Christian Rosati with two away in the sixth, but heavy rains forced the stoppage of play before Rosati even threw a pitch.

When play resumed on Sunday, the Rams tacked on one more in the bottom of the eighth as Kevin Heiss drew a four-pitch walk, stole second and then crossed the plate on a double by Mike Foley. Meanwhile, Dom Grillo faced just two over the minimum through the final three frames as Rhody held on for the 6-0 win.
