How it Happened
The Terrapins (5-1) wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as Chris Alleyne led off the bottom of the first with a double, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on an RBI ground-out by 2-hole hitter Tucker Flint.
Maryland's Maxwell Costes blasted a two-out solo shot in the bottom of the third, and then launched another home run in the bottom of the eighth, to give the Terps a 3-0 lead heading into the ninth inning.
There, the Rams (2-4) put together a two-out rally with Joe Fortin singling up the middle and Sonny Ulliana drawing a walk. The comeback attempt fell short however as Maryland held on for the 3-0 win.
