A six-run outburst in the fourth inning keyed Rhode Island's 7-3 victory over Sacred Heart, giving the Rams their sixth straight wim.

The fourth inning provided all the scoring Rhode Island would need. After the Pioneers (2-11) scored a run in the top of frame, Rhody responded, scoring six runs to take the lead. Xavier Vargas got things going by singling to right field. After Sonny Ulliana was hit by a pitch, both runners advanced their bases on a wild pitch. Vargas scored after Tommy Cartnick reached on an error, and Addison Kopack doubled down the left field line to send Ulliana home.

Sacred Heart made a pitching change, but that didn't stop the Rams scoring stride. Alex Ramirez walked, and another wild pitch brought Cartnick home. Ramirez and Kopack pulled off a double steal, allowing Kopack to score and make the score 4-1. Austin White got on base with a single to left center, bumping Ramirez to third, and then a dropped fly ball sent him to score. The final of the inning run came in when Vargas singled up the middle to send White home for the 6-1 lead going into the fifth.

Rhody added a run in the bottom of the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Josh Brodeur that scored Alex Santos. Sacred Heart scored a pair of unearned runs in the seventh, but Rhode Island was able to cruise to the win from there.
