How it Happened
For the second Sunday in a row, a dominant performance from Trystan Levesque led Rhode Island to an Atlantic 10 series-clinching victory, this time sparking the Rams to a 13-1 win over visiting St. Bonaventure. Levesque gave up one run on a trio of two-out hits in the top of the first, but was lights out from there as he faced the minimum through the next six innings, effectively silencing the Bonnies' offense.

Between a second-inning walk and a seventh-inning walk, Levesque retired 14 consecutive hitters and only allowed one ball out of the infield – a fourth-inning fly-out to left field. Backed by a flawless defense, the Rhody southpaw needed just 71 pitches to get through seven complete frames.

Offensively, Rhode Island scored 13 runs on 13 hits, while also benefitting from 13 walks.

With the Bonnies leading 1-0 in the third inning, an Eric Genther groundout plated Alex Ramirez and tied the score, and it was all Rhode Island from that point on. A two-run double by Addison Kopack pushed across Jack Cucinotta and Justin Cherry in in the fourth, and RBI singles from Jordan Laske as well as Cherry and Cicunotta stretched the Rams lead to 6-1 in the bottom of the fifth.

URI erupted for six more runs in the sixth inning, capitalizing on five hits and a pair of walks.

Anthony Panissidi finished off the Rams' scoring in the bottom of the eighth, drawing a two-out walk in his first career plate appearance and later crossing the plate on a Genther double.

Zach Fernandez and Ryan Andrade then closed the door with a scoreless eighth and ninth, respectively.
