How it Happened
Boston College took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second and held on to the two-run lead until the top of the fifth. There,
Eric Genther beat out a two-out single to third, driving in
Brody McKenzie and cutting the Eagles' lead in half.
Â
BC pushed the advantage to 4-1 in the bottom of the sixth, but Rhody responded with a two-run seventh.
Alex Ramirez first scored on an Eagles' error and
Anthony DePino followed with a double that drove in Genther to make it a 4-3 game.
Â
Boston College added another run in the bottom of the seventh – on a solo home run by Luke Gold – but the game was called shortly after that due to rain.
