How it Happened
For the second day in a row, the long ball proved to be the difference maker as eight of the game's 10 runs were scored on homers.

Trailing 2-0 in the top of the second, Anthony DePino drew a leadoff walk and later scored on a two-run shot by Rob Butler. However, a solo home run by Cade Fergus put GW back on top (3-2) in the bottom of the third.

The Colonials had runners in scoring position in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings – as did Rhody in the sixth – but neither team was able to do any additional damage until the eight. There, a two-run homer by Addison Kopack put URI up 4-3.

Bryan Kraus retired the Colonials in order in the bottom of the eighth, and needed just five pitches to record the first two outs in the bottom of the ninth. Down to it's final out, GW got another solo homerun from Fergus to tie the game at 4-4 . Logan Leax then homered in the bottom of the 10th to give the Colonials the 6-4 walkoff win.
