- The Explorers won the first meeting, 77-75, in overtime on January 7.
- In that game, Jhamir Brickus made three free throws with three seconds left in regulation to help La Salle get to overtime. His 3-point shot in overtime put the Explorers ahead for good, as Rhode Island had three shots on one possession in the final seconds, but could not come up with the go-ahead basket.
- Khalil Brantley had 29 points and eight rebounds for La Salle in the first meeting, while Jalen Carey and Brayon Freeman each had 18 points to lead Rhode Island.
- Before the meeting earlier this month, Rhode Island had won nine straight games against La Salle.
- The Rams are 13-4 all time at home against the Explorers, including a 9-3 mark in the Ryan Center.
- La Salle comes to Kingston on a four-game losing skid. It's last win was at Massachusetts on Jan. 11.
- Rhode Island is looking for back-to-back wins for the second time this season. The first time came with wins over Army (Dec. 10) and UMass Lowell (Dec. 13).
LEGGETT'S WORK AT THE LINE IMPRESSIVE
- Sophomore Ishmael Leggett was perfect at the free throw line Wednesday against Dayton, making all 11 of his attempts.
- He became just the third Rhode Island player to make 11 or more without a miss in the Ryan Center since the arena opened for the 2002-03 season 21 years ago.
- Brian Woodward achieved the feat twice, going 16-for-16 against Yale on Jan. 7, 2004 and 12-for-12 against Charlotte on Dec. 23, 2003. Jarvis Garrett was 12-for-12 against VCU Feb. 25, 2017.
- Four times this season Leggett has made 10 or more free throws in a game. URI is 3-1 in those games.
- Leggett has made 13 consecutive free throws, and over his last five games, he is 30-for-32 (93.8 percent).

- Nearly 30 percent of his total scoring for the season (28.9 percent) has come from the charity stripe.
- In his first two seasons combined, Leggett was 111-for-156 at the line (71.2 percent).
