KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island men's cross country wrapped up its 2023 slate at the NCAA Northeast Regional, hosted by Columbia, on Friday afternoon.
The Rams competed in a 10-kilometer race at Van Cortlandt Park.Â
Ben Fleischer paced URI, crossing the finish line in 30:47.4 to finish 62nd. He was just over 10 seconds off a top-50 pace. The Atlantic 10 All-Conference runner was followed by
Garrett Hartline (103rd, 31:25.4) and
Nathan Masi (117th, 31:38.5) to round out the Rams' top three.
Iona was first in the team standings with 40 points. Harvard (57 points) and Syracuse (97 points) finished second and third, respectively.Â
