Skyler Rapuano has been named Co-Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon. Saint Louis' Gabbie Kowalik shared the honor with Rapuano.
Rapuano led Rhode Island to a series victory at defending regular-season champion George Washington over the weekend. In four games overall, Rapuano batted .700 (7-for-10) with two doubles, four runs scored and four runs batted in.
She factored in eight of the 10 runs the Rams scored in the series at GW. In the series opener, Rapuano scored twice and drove in the game-winning run in the 3-2 victory. In the series finale, Rapuano was 3-for-3 with a walk, three RBI and two more runs scored.
For the week, Rapuano had a a .750 on-base percentage, with seven hits and two walks in 12 plate appearances. She had three multi-hit games.
Rapuano is the first Rhode Island player to earn an individual honor this season.
