KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Rhode Island saved its best for last, moving up three spots in the team standings on the final day of the 2023 Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship. The Rams finished in sixth place for the three-day tournament.
Senior
Bryson Richards drained six birdies on the final day, finishing one-under on the day. Richards and junior
Geronimo Narizzano tied for 17th in the individual standings. Narizzano was 2-over on Day Three, finishing off a strong showing at the tournament.
As a team, Rhode Island shot a 302 in the third round. Only Loyola Chicago (299) and Davidson (300) had lower scores Sunday. Davidson finished with an 865 - eight strokes ahead of the field - to claim the team title. Loyola (873) finished second in the team standings.
Fifth-year senior
Brandon Gillis (t-20), freshman
Aidan O'Donovan (t-34) and senior
Andrew DiPetrillo (t-36) helped the Rams end the season on a high note.
Richards and Gillis were named to the 2023 Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team, as URI was one of three schools with two players who earned all-conference honors.

"It was a nice day. Bryson was simply Bryson. Geronimo further solidified that he is a top tier player for us.
"We had the third best score of the day and just two more than the winner. Tough teams battle and that is what we did.
"It is always emotional saying goodbye to terrific players like Brandon and Andrew.
"We were thrilled to be one of just three teams to have two players on the All-League team.
"Along with Bryson and Geronimo at the top of the lineup next year we return Aidan and Chuck while welcoming four new players. There will be a huge battle for the 3-5 spots."
