RHODE ISLAND VS. BROWN - SERIES NOTES

  • Rhode Island and Brown are facing each other for the 37th time.
  • The Rams lead the all-time series, 27-8-1.
  • The teams have split the last 12 matches, with each side taking six victories.
  • Last year, Brown won in straight sets, 25-17, 25-14, 25-13.
  • The Bears had a 42-20 edge in kills a year ago, with Beau Vanderlaan recording 10 kills and and four blocks.
  • The teams will play again on Saturday at 6 p.m., with the match being played in Keaney Gymnsium in Kingston.
  • The lone tie in the series happened in 1979.

RHODE ISLAND VS. LE MOYNE - SERIES NOTES

  • Rhode Island and Le Moyne will face each other for the first time in program history on Saturday afternoon in Keaney Gymnasium.
  • Brown is hosting Le Moyne Friday afternoon before its match against URI.
  • Le Moyne is located in Syracuse and is part of the NEC, moving up from Division II's Northeast-10.
  • It began the transition to Division I in July of this year.

DISU TWINS MAKE STRONG FIRST IMPRESSION

  • Freshmen Madi and Megan Disu both started all three matches for Rhode Island in the opening weekend of the season.
  • Madi Disu leads the team with 25 kills and is the lone Ram thus far to reach double digits in a single match.
  • She had 12 in URI's 3-1 loss to Bryant.
  • Megan Disu is third on the team in both kills (17) and blocks (8).
  • The twin sisters hail from Buda, Texas and come from a very athletic family.
  • Their mother, Jennifer Price, played basketball and competed in track & field for U.C. Santa Barbara.
  • Their older brother Dylan Disu is a basketball player at the University of Texas, where he averaged 8.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game last season.
