RHODE ISLAND VS. AMERICAN - SERIES NOTES

• Rhode Island is facing American for the third time.
• Both sides have won one match in the series.
• The teams have not faced each other since 1981, a year before women's volleyball was officially recognized as an NCAA-sanctioned sport.
• Rhode Island will be the third Atlantic 10 opponent for American this season. The Eagles swept George Washington in their season opener and followed that with a 3-2 win at George Mason.
• The Eagles got their first win against URI in 2004, which started a 7-2 run for BC.
• Zeynep Uzen leads the Patriot League with an average of 4.16 kills per set.
• American is a strong serving team. The Eagles rank 23rd in the nation with 2.09 aces per set.
• Setter Esma Sipahi ranked 23rd in the country with 19 service aces.

RHODE ISLAND VS. STONEHILL - SERIES NOTES

• Rhode Island is facing Stonehill for the first time.
• The Skyhawks are in just their second season as a Division I program.
• Stonehill enters the match looking for its first win of the season.
• Stonehill and Rhode Island have had two common opponents thus far. Both schools lost to Bryant, 3-1. URI is 0-2 against Brown, while Stonehill was swept by the Bears once.
