KORTHRIGHT STEPS UP IN THE CLUTCH
- Junior guard Luis Kortright made the game-winning shot against Saint Joseph's, hitting a driving layup in traffic with one second remaining to break a 74-74 tie.
- Kortright had been on the bench for nearly nine minutes of game time before returning for the game-winning possession with 13 seconds to go.
- He finished the night with 12 points, his ninth time this season scoring in double digits.
GREEN PROVIDES A SPARK AGAIN
- Junior forward David Green recorded his first career double-double last time out against Saint Joseph's, recording 16 points and 10 rebounds while leading URI back from a 13-point deficit in the second half.
- The Rams are 2-0 since Green made his URI debut.
- He has averaged 15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 2.0 assists in his two games, both as a reserve.
- The NCAA initially ruled Green ineligible for the season as a two-time transfer, causing him to miss the first 12 games of the season.Â
- He played 40 games over two seasons at Louisiana Tech, where he averaged 7.1 points per game.Â
- Green spent the 2020-21 season at Hoftstra, averaging 3.1 points and 1.7 boards in 18 games.
