How it Happened
Rhode Island (7-0) is off to its best start in 44 years after knocking off UT Arlington 83-78 on Thansgiving Day.

It was a one-point game with 2:48 to go after Jaden Wells hit a 3-pointer for UT Arlington (4-5). Jamarques Lawrence responded with a 3 of his own to get the points back. UTA's Raysean Seamster hit a layup to make the score 77-75.

Rhody's defense came up with three straight stops, and Sebastian Thomas and Javonte Brown both hit both ends of a 1-and-1 to put URI ahead 81-75. UTA got a 3-pointer from Brody Robinson, but that was all the scoring the Mavericks could muster as Rhody completed a two-game sweep at the Jacksonville Classic.
