Rams Crack Top 10 in Both FCS National Polls Ahead of FCS Playoff

KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island is in the top 10 of both National FCS Polls. The Rams moved up two spots in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 from No. 10 to No. 8 and remain at No. 9 in the AFCA Coaches Poll.

Rhody received 933 points in the Stats poll. The Rams are behind No. 7 Mercer (SoCon) who received 1,032 points. The CAA had four teams in the Stats poll with Rhode Island being the highest. Villanova checked in at No. 9, Monmouth dropped from No. 12 to No. 21, and New Hampshire is the last of the CAA teams in the poll at No. 22.

Rhode Island is No. 9 in the AFCA poll for the third straight week. The Rams received 430 points in the poll and are behind No. 8 Mercer who tallied 444 points. No. 6 Villanova and No. 16 Monmouth are the other two CAA programs in the AFCA poll.  New Hampshire is also receiving votes in the poll

Rhode Island is back in action on Saturday, Nov. 29 when it hosts Central Connecticut at Meade Stadium in the opening round of the NCAA FCS Playoff. The Blue Devils are receiving votes in both FCS national polls. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. and will air on ESPN+.
