How it Happened
Towson's Dylan Williamson had a career night, scoring 25 points to lead Towson (4-2) to a 62-55Â victory over Rhode Island (4-2) in the opening game of the Terry's Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational Adventure Bracket Monday.
Williamson shot 10-of-21 overall and 5-for-9 from 3-point range. When he wasn't scoring, it was Tyler Tejada and Jack Doumbia, Jr. hurting the Rhody defense. Tajeada had 16 points and Doumbia added 15 as the three players combined for 56 of their team's points.
Rhode Island struggled to get its offense going, committing 15 turnovers and shooting 3-of-24 from long range.
