KINGSTON, R.I. — Rhode Island women's soccer had three Rams earn Atlantic 10 postseason honors, the league announced Tuesday.
Junior Lauren MacDonald was named to the All-Conference Second Team for the second straight year, becoming the first Ram to earn back-to-back A-10 postseason honors since Kaylen Shimoda in 2009 and 2010. McKenna Sylvester and Mie Carstensen were both selected to the All-Academic Team, marking Rhode Island's first All-Academic recognition since 2016.

The Rams, who face Saint Louis on Wednesday in their first semifinal appearance since 2006, picked up their 12th win of the season last time out — the most under head coach Megan Jessee and matching the program's highest total since 2002. Rhode Island has reached 12 wins five times in program history: 2014, 2007, 2006, 1999 and 1998.
MacDonald leads Rhode Island's offense with 21 points on eight goals and five assists, starting all 19 games this season. Her standout junior campaign has moved her up the program's all-time scoring list, entering Wednesday's match with 43 career points. She's the only Ram in the past decade to surpass 40.
Carstensen, a marketing major, leads the team with seven assists and has tallied 15 points this season, becoming the third player to reach double figures in scoring. Sylvester, an electrical engineering major, has scored all eight of her career goals this season and ranks second on the team with 20 points.
Rhode Island returns to the pitch Wednesday, Nov. 5, for the Atlantic 10 Championship semifinal against Saint Louis at Hermann Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET, with the match streaming live on ESPN+
