KINGSTON, R.I. - A.J. Pena will compete in the inaugural FCS-NFL Showcase, which is held Jan. 4 and 5 in Nashville, Tenn.
The event is organized by the NCAA, the American Football Coaches Association and the National Football League and will provide an evaluation platform for 50 FCS prospects who are eligible for the 2026 NFL Draft.
Pena earned All-American honors from five publications in 2025 including FCS Football Central, the Associated Press, Stats Perform, the Walter Camp Football Foundation, and Phil Steele.
The Montclair, N.J. native completed the season with 89 tackles. He recorded team-bests in tackles for loss (21) and sacks (11). Pena's 11 sacks are tied for eighth most in a single season in program history, and his 21 tackles for loss are tied for third best in program history. He was named 2025 CAA Defensive Player of the Year.
Pena is one of six student-athletes from the CAA to participate in the event joining North Carolina A&T defensive back Aaron Harris, William & Mary defensive back Jalen Jones, Bryant defensive lineman Michael Otty, Monmouth quarterback Derek Robertson and North Carolina A&T offensive lineman Korion Sharpe.
