How it Happened
Rhode Island clinched its fourth Atlantic 10 series of the season, winning its league-best 10th conference game by knocking off St. Bonaventure 5-3 to complete a doubleheader sweep Friday afternoon.

Trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning, the Rams got a solo home run from DJ Perron to lead off the bottom half of the frame. Brody McKenzie reached on a one-out single through the left side and moved to third on a double by Anthony DePino. A sacrifice fly by Eric Genther gave URI a 4-3 lead.

An inning later, Jack Hopko hit a solo shot to give the Rams an insurance run.

Armed with a 5-3 lead, closer Joe Sabbath slammed the door shut on the Bonnies. He pitched two dominant scoreless innings, retiring all six batters he faced while recording six strikeouts.
