How it Happened
A pair of big rallies sparked Rhode Island to its fifth straight victory as the Rams knocked off in-state rival Brown 12-4 Wednesday afternoon.

Trailing 3-1 in the top of the third, Rhody scored six times to surge to a 7-3 lead. Jack Hopko's two-run single not only tied the game, but it also set URI's single-season RBI record, as he reached 62 for the year. The Rams scored four more times in the frame.

Two innings later, URI broke the game wide open with a four-run rally that included just one hit, a single by Danny Leikus to lead the inning off. Three walks and three hit batters later, the Rams had extended their lead to 11-3, effectively putting the game out of reach.
