How it Happened
Rhode Island Baseball picked up an 11-7 win over Quinnipiac on Wednesday afternoon at Bill Beck Field, avenging a narrow loss that the team had suffered to the Bobcats a few weeks ago.

The Rams dominated their visitors in the first half of the game, taking their initial lead in the bottom of the second when Eric Genther drove in two runs with a single up the middle. URI tacked on seven additional runs over the next two frames, exploding for six of them in the fourth. The latter crooked number was powered by three RBI singles and DJ Perron being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

While a three spot, which featured two unearned runs, got the Bobcats on the board in the top of the fifth, Rhody answered back with a pair of runs in the next two frames thanks to RBI singles from Perron and Jack Hopko.

Quinnipiac continued to capitalize on Rhody miscues, scratching across another four unearned runs in the top of the eighth to trim the deficit down to 11-7. Braeden Perry was called out of the bullpen to end the game and retired three 'Cats in order after issuing a leadoff single.
