KINGSTON, R.I. — Rhode Island women's soccer was selected to finish sixth in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll, the league announced Wednesday. It's the highest selection for the Rams in the A-10 preseason poll under head coach Megan Jessee. The reigning A-10 champions Saint Louis Billikens were predicted to win the league.
The Rams are coming off their best season under Jessee in 2024. A year ago, Rhody finished 7-8-3 with a 4-5-1 A-10 slate. Jessee enters her ninth season leading Rhode Island.
New to the pitch this season are two transfers and five freshmen. Jessee signed Nika Jacobs from Iowa State and Lily Camacho from Seton Hall. The freshmen class includes Audra Salvagni (D), Anna Fletcher (M), Natalie White (D), Claire O'Neill (F), and Addisen Nicholson (GK).
The Rams open the 2025 campaign tommorrow against Le Moyne at the URI Soccer Complex.
