Rhode Island men's track and field hosted its first indoor meet of the New Year Saturday, welcoming schools from across New England to Mackal Field House.

Highlights from Competition

• The Rams dominated the long jump, taking the top five finishes. Joachim Ennoo won the event with a leap on 7.47 meters. Izzy Henriques-Setho (7.27m), Matt Santy (7.16), Nate Shultz (7.11m), and Arnaud Sioho (6.87m) rounded out the top five.
• Ennoo also claimed first in the triple jump with a mark of 15.37 meters.
• Theo Puterbaugh placed first in the shot put, throwing 16.65 meters. Winslow Sightler was second after marking 16.04 meters.
• The Rams also took the top five in the pole vault, led by Carson Dean's 4.75 meter mark. Tyler Grabinski was second (4.75m), Damian Scouloukas was third (4.60m), Wyatt Lamell finished fourth (4.60m) and Nathan Park finished fifth (4.60m).
• Nate Field placed second in the weight throw (17.01m) while Sam Meleshenko was third (16.71m).
• Rhody had the top four finishers in the high jump, led by Matt Santy's clearance of 2.12 meters. Cam Miller was second (2.02m), Rowan McConkey finished third (2.02m) and Miles Lipka was fourth (1.97m).
• In the 60m hurdles, Lucas Andrade (8.16s) and Ryan Kyle (8.40s) took the 1-2 finish.
• Ryan Temistokle was third in the 400 meter, crossing the finish line in 51.34 seconds.
• Rhody took home the top three finishes in the 500m, with Cam Rose claiming first (1:06.39), Jaden Enis second (1:07.30), and Nick Morrison third (1:07.35).
• Alex Arbogast placed second in the 60m with a time of 6.91 seconds.
• Cole Francis was the top finisher for Rhody in the 800m, finishing in 1:57.35 for third place.
• Ben Fatone won the 1000m with a time of 2:30.57.
