RHODE ISLAND VS. St. BONAVENTURE - Series notes 

  • The Rams are back home Saturday after spending the last two games on the road to face the St. Bonaventure Bonnies at the Ryan Center.
  • Rhode Island enters Saturday's game winning its last seven straight games.
  • Historically, Rhode Island is 28-33 all-time against St. Bonaventure, however the Rams have won the last seven straight meetings against the Bonnies dating back to the 2020 season.
  • Rhody won 82-48 in its last game against St. Bonaventure last season in Olean on Jan. 2, 2025. The win was the 100th victory for head coach Tammi Reiss.
  • The last time the Bonnies were in Kingston, Rhody sent them home with a 65-41 loss on Jan. 6, 2024. 
  • Under Reiss, the Rams are 4-0 against St. Bonaventure at the Ryan Center.
  • A win for Rhody Saturday would be the seventh at home this season.

SCOUTING THE BONNIES

  • St. Bonaventure is coming off a 46-38 win at Duquesne last time out.
  • The win was the second Atlantic 10 victory for the Bonnies, who also beat George Washington in a thrilling victory 54-53.
  • St. Bonaventure is 5-3 on the road this season.
  • The Bonnies have two averaging double figures in scoring, led by Kaycee Drake's 15.9 points per game. 
  • Drake also leads the team in rebounds, averaging 6.6 per contest.
  • St. Bonaventure head coach Jim Crowley is in his 19th season leading the Bonnies.

  • Rhode Island secured its seventh win in a row last time out, picking up a conference win at George Washington.
  • It was the sixth straight road win for the Rams, who haven't lost on the road since Rutgers Nov. 13.
  • The Rams had four score in double figures, led by 23 points from senior Brooklyn Gray. 
  • Junior Sophia Vital turned in her first career double-double, pairing 19 points with 14 rebounds.
  • Rhody scored 70 points in the win for the seventh time this season. Last year, the Rams scored 70+ points in seven total games.
  • The seven-game win streak matches the fifth best in program history. 
  • The most consecutive wins for the Rams was a 13-game streak in the 2021-22 season. 
  • Rhode Island is 4-0 to start Atlantic 10 play for the third time under head coach Tammi Reiss.
  • Rhody was 4-0 to start league action in back-to-back seasons in 2021-22 and 2022-23. 

PROTECTING THE POSSeSSIONS

  • Ball security has fueled Rhode Island's success this season. 
  • After turning the ball over six times in the first quarter last time out at George Washington, , Rhode Island had just two turnovers in the final 30 minutes.
  • It was the the fifth time this season the Rams have been in single digits.
  • Rhody leads the Atlantic 10 with 11.6 turnovers per game.
  • The turnovers rank 11th nationally.
  • No. 2 Texas leads the country with a notable 10.2 turnovers per game. 
  • Rhody senior guard Brooklyn Gray leads the Atlantic 10 with a 2.09 assist-to-turnover ratio.
