KINGSTON, R.I. -- Rhode Island women's soccer senior
Lily Camacho was named the Atlantic 10 Offensive Co-Player of the Week, it was announced Monday. Camacho shared the honor with Justyce Hollenbach of La Salle.
Camacho led the Rams with two goals in as many games over Rhody's 2-0 stretch of a week. Last Thursday at Davidson, the senior sent Rhody home with a 1-0 win after scoring with less than eight minutes to go. Following that performance, in the win over St. Bonaventure Sunday, Camacho scored the first goal off a corner kick, finding the back of the net off a header to help the Rams beat the Bonnies on her senior day. The pair of goals were the first scored for Camacho this season.
It's the first career A10 weekly honor for Camacho. She's the third Ram this season to collect the conference weekly honor after
Addisen Nicholson and Emily Morgan were named Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week back on Aug. 24.
Rhody returns to action this Saturday at 3 pm against Saint Joseph's at the URI Soccer Complex. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
