KINGSTON, R.I. — Rhode Island women's soccer had a pair of Rams earn Atlantic 10 weekly honors, it was announced Monday. Addisen Nicholson was named Defensive Player of the Week while Emily Morgan earned Rookie of the Week. 

Nicholson had an impressive showing last Thursday against Northeastern. The sophomore made her first career start in goal for the Rams and secured her first career shutout against the Huskies. She made seven saves in 90 minutes to preserve the cleansheet. 

Morgan has worked her way in the starting lineup, making the start in both of Rhody's matches last week. Against Northeastern, the first-year had one shot in 46 minutes. Last time out, Morgan scored her first collegiate goal in the game at No. 2 Duke Sunday night.  

It was the first career conference weekly honor for both Rams.

Rhody is back in action on Thursday at New Hampshire. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
