KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island goalkeeper
William Synnestvedt was named the Atlantic 10 Defender of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Synnestvedt earned two clean sheets and a combined nine saves during the Rams' wins over Saint Joseph's and George Washington this past week.
He improves to 4-6-0 on the season and leads the Atlantic 10 in saves (46) and saves per game (4.60). Synnestvedt has recorded five or more saves in six games this season and has allowed one goal or fewer six times.
This is the second weekly award of his career. Last year, Synnestvedt was named A10 Rookie of the Week on Oct. 27, 2025.
Rhody looks to extend their win streak to three games on Wednesday when they host Davidson at the URI Soccer Complex. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
