Rams Head to Fordham Clinging to Postseason Hopes

KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island returns to Atlantic 10 play with a three-game series at Fordham that begins Saturday. The teams will play a doubleheader at noon before closing out the series with a single game Sunday at 12 p.m.

The series is crucial for both teams as it pertains to the Atlantic 10 Championship. With nine games remaining in league play, Rhody (4-11) is 3.5 games behind George Mason (9-9) and Saint Louis (9-9), the teams that currently hold the final two postseason spots. Fordham (7-8) is currently 1.5 games behind George Mason and Saint Louis.

  • She enters the weekend ranked 16th in the country and first in the conference with a .566 on-base percentage.
  • The URI single-season record for on-base percentage is .485, which was set by URI Athletics Hall of Famer Kellie Cookus in 1998. Last season, Bulinski had a .484 on-base percentage.
  • Bulinski has reached base safely 60 times in 106 total plate appearances.

  • Sophomore Brooke Gerry has lowered her earned-run average from 4.13 to 3.42 over her last nine outings.
  • While Gerry is 3-9 overall this season, she is 3-0 with one save since the start of April.
  • Since April began, she has allowed 12 earned runs on 30 hits in 28.2 innings of work.
