RHODE ISLAND AT CONNECTICUT - SERIES NOTES
  • Rhode Island is 81-120-4 all time against Connecticut. 
  • The first meeting between the Rams and Huskies was in 1896.
  • The most recent meeting between the teams is last season on April 30, 2025.
  • The Huskies downed the Rams 16-6 in seven innings at Elliot Ballpark in Storrs.

  • The sophomore pitched three innings across two of Rhode Island's weekend games and allowed two hits, one walk, no runs, while striking ot five. 
  • Santos' most impressive outing came in Saturday's series finale. He entered the game in the seventh with no outs and runners on second and third. 
  • Santos retired the next six batters in order including four consecutive strikeouts to start his outing.
  • The Amsterdam, N.Y. native has not allowed a run in his last 6.2 innings of work. 
  • He has allowed three earned runs in 18.1 innings of work this season helping lead to a  1.47 ERA.
