ORLANDO, Fla. - Rhode Island tied for the second-best round of the day as it remained in fifth place overall at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship Tuesday.
The Rams shaved nine strokes off their opening round score and were 1-under par as a team. Only Richmond (-7) had a stronger second round.
Luke Stennett led Rhody Tuesday, firing a three-under par 69. Stennett had five birdies and an eagle as he jumped 13 spots on the individual leaderboard into eighth place overall.
Tyler Bruneau is in 12th place. He was two-under par over his final five holes to finish the second round 1-over par.
Josiah Tong was even in the second round, sinking four birdies with four bogeys. He moved up seven spots into 29th place.
Rhody's fourth scorer Tuesday was
Tony Liu, who was one-over par. He finished the round with 11 consecutive pars.
George Mason leads the team standings. The lone team under par for the tournament, the Patriots are minus-three, four strokes ahead of VCU and Richmond.
Dayton (plus-five), Rhody (plus-seven) and George Washington (plus-eight) are in fourth, fifth and sixth place, respectively. The trio will be grouped together in Wednesday's final round.
