How it Happened
Davidson scored 12 runs in the home half of the seventh inning to help propel the Wildcats past Rhode Island 21-17 on Sunday afternoon in North Carolina.

Rhode Island led 15-6 through six innings after building its largest advantage of the game with a four-run fifth inning. With the bases loaded, Danny Leikus doubled down the left field line to score Brian Connolly, Ryan King and Jack Hopko. Leikus later came in to score on a sacrifice fly to left from Ryan Henschel.

Davidson scored two runs in the sixth before erupting for 12 runs in the seventh to take control of the game. The Rams added a two-run homer from Hopko in the top of the ninth to trim the deficit, but Davidson retired the next three Rhode Island batters to secure the series finale victory.
