KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island Rowing will go for its 12th Atlantic 10 Championship in program history on Saturday morning in Cherry Hill, N.J. Racing on the Cooper River begins with prelims at 8 a.m., with finals scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
The Rams will look to hold their place at the top of the conference after fending off second-place George Washington a season ago. Rhody's Varsity 8+ boat defeated the Revolutionaires by less than three seconds to clinch the title a year ago. All 11 of Rhode Island's titles have been earned since 2008.
The winner of the title will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship, which is being held on Lake Lanier in Gainsville, Ga. from Wednesday, May 27 to Saturday, May 31. Rhode Island has earned the league's automatic bid eight times (2025, 2024, 2022, 2021, 2019, 2018, 2016, 2013).
