KINGSTON, R.I. — Four student-athletes from the Rhode Island men's track and field team qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East First Round, which begins Wednesday at the University of Kentucky.
Joachim Ennoo and Matt Santy will compete in the long jump Wednesday at 6 p.m. Santy returns to action Friday in the high jump alongside Josia Katroli at 2 p.m., while Nick Martin is scheduled to compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 5:40 p.m. Ennoo also will compete in the triple jump Friday at 6 p.m.
Santy qualified for the NCAA regional meet for the second time in his career after previously competing in the high jump in 2024. Ennoo, Katroli and Martin each earned their first NCAA regional appearances.
The top 12 finishers in each field event will advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon. In the steeplechase, 12 athletes also will advance, including the top three finishers from each heat and the next three fastest times.
