May 20 - Wally's Wieners (Providence)
June 16 - Newport Craft Brewing and Distilling Co.

KINGSTON, R.I. - The University of Rhode Island Athletic Department will be out in the community for several events this summer, giving fans multiple chances to engage with new Vice President/Director of Athletics Pat Lyons, as well as football coach Jim Fleming and basketball coaches Colleen Mullen and Archie Miller.

The Rams on the Rhode series will visit Wally's Wieners in Providence (120 Atwells Ave.) from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20. On Tuesday, June 16, the Rhody contingent will head to Newport Craft Brewing and Distilling Co. (293 JT Connell Highway) in Newport, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

A third event will be held in Pawtucket in conjunction with Rhode Island FC as part of URI Day on Saturday, August 22. Further details for this event will be announced at a later date.

The events at Wally's Wieners and Newport Craft are both free and open to the public. Fans are asked to register for both events via the links provided above.

Each of the events will be casual in nature, giving fans the chance to mingle and talk with Lyons and the Rhode Island coaches. Lyons was announced as URI's new Vice President/Director of Athletics in March. His first coaching hire was Mullen, a former URI women's basketball player who took over the women's program after eight seasons with UAlbany.

Fleming has led Rhode Island's football team to back-to-back CAA Football championships. His squad will be playing home games at Rhode Island FC's Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket in 2026 while Meade Stadium is renovated. Miller is heading into his fifth season at the helm of the men's basketball team.
