KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island Football offensive lineman Thomas Buxton has been invited to Indianapolis Colts mini camp, Buxton confirmed Sunday afternoon.
Buxton excelled on and off the field after transferring to Rhode Island from Stonehill. On the field, he earned 2025 CAA Football All-Conference Honorable Mention honors. He started 11 of 12 games during the 2024 season before starting the first 12 games of 2025. Buxton suffered an injury in Rhode Island's NCAA Division I Championship First Round match up with Central Connecticut, which prevented him from starting the Rams' Second Round game at UC Davis.
Buxton also embodied the phrase "student-athlete." He was named to the CAA Football Commissioner's Honor Roll in spring 2025 for his work in the classroom.
Buxton joins A.J. Pena as the second Ram from the 2025 roster to receive an NFL mini camp invitation. Pena was invited to Baltimore Ravens mini camp.
