WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rhode Island had 319 student-athletes named to the Atlantic 10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2025-26 academic year, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Across the A-10, 3,944 student-athletes were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, highlighting another outstanding year of academic achievement across the conference.
Recognizing excellence across the league's membership, a student-athlete in an Atlantic 10-sponsored sport at a full member institution must have a combined fall and spring semester grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the academic year to be selected for the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Freshmen and graduate students are eligible to receive the honor. This is the ninth straight year that more than 3,000 A-10 student-athletes have earned the distinction.
"The A-10 standard is exemplified by the outstanding student-athletes across our member institutions," Leibovitz said. "I congratulate each of the 3,944 members of the 2025-26 Commissioner's Honor Roll. Their dedication, discipline, and commitment to academic excellence embody the values of the Atlantic 10 Conference."
The 319 student-athletes for Rhode Island were the fourth most among A-10 schools. Only Fordham (351), Davidson (334) and Saint Joseph's (321) had more. A total of 380 Atlantic 10 student-athletes recorded perfect 4.0 GPAs for the 2025-26 academic year, led by 60 from Saint Louis. Additionally, 2,677 honorees (67.8 percent) recorded GPAs of 3.5 or better (2,677 total).
Women's cross country and track and field was the most represented sport, earning 488 Honor Roll recipients. Men's cross country and track and field racked up 394 accolades, while 369 baseball student-athletes were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
