KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island Rowing's Sierra Munroe and Bethany Nordstrom each were named to the Atlantic 10's All-Academic team, the league announced on Tuesday morning. 

Nordstrom adds a 2026 All-Academic team nod to an already extensive collection of career postseason awards. The senior has been an A-10 First Team honoree in each of the last three seasons and was an All-Academic team selection in 2025. In the classroom, Nordstrom posted a 3.71 GPA as psychology major. 

This is the first postseason honor for Munroe who just completed her sophomore season with Rhode Island. The Vernon, British Columbia native earned a 4.0 GPA as psychology major.

Both Munroe and Nordstrom raced on Rhode Island Varsity 8+ boat over the course of the 2026 season, including in both the Atlantic 10 and NCAA Championships. Munroe and Nordstrom helped Rhode Island to its 12th Atlantic 10 crown in May. The Varsity 8+ time of 6:33.123 in the A-10 Championship is the fourth-fastest time in league history and fastest since 1998.

After winning the A-10 title, the Rams Varsity 8+ boat finished third in the D Final of the NCAA Championship. Rhode Island's time of 6:19.214 in the D Final was just two seconds behind second-place Massachusetts.
