KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) -- Nchendia Tajong capped a 16-play drive with a 4-yard scoring run with 4:24 remaining Saturday, leading Rhode Island to its first win of the season, 7-6 over James Madison.

Marc Zlotek intercepted a pass from James Madison's Charles Berry with 52 seconds left to seal the win for Rhode Island (1-5).

James Madison (4-2) broke a scoreless tie with Mike Glover's 33-yard field goal with 5:23 left in the second quarter, and the Dukes built the lead to 6-0 on Glover's 30-yard kick with 2:21 left in the third quarter.

James Madison's offense was stalled by 10 penalties, including six holding calls in the second half. Glover also had two field goal attempts blocked, and missed another from 38 yards out.

Vince Nedimyer completed 10 of 23 passing attempts for just 81 yards for Rhode Island, but had three completions on the game-winning drive.

James Madison outrushed Rhode Island 220-81. B.J. Minor had 85 rushing yards for James Madison, and Delvin Joyce had five catches for 65 yards.
